WELCOME TO THE PRACTICE

The original Health Centre was opened in 1970 to meet the demands of a growth in population and replaced the surgery held at Osbourne House, the home of the late Dr Kingsley. The continued expansion of Burton Latimer led to an extension of that building in 1986.

The surgery now occupies much larger, more modern premises on Higham Road.

Finedon Health Centre was built in 1977, replacing the surgery in Wellingborough Road. The building still belongs to the local Primary Care Trust and has undergone an internal refurbishment.

We offer a wide range of medical services including health promotion and screening as well as diagnosis and treatment of illness. We hope you will find the practice friendly and sympathetic to your needs. We have a well trained team of nursing and administration staff to help us provide a high standard of care.

Training

As an approved training practice we provide training for qualified doctors (GP Registrars) who wish to pursue a career as General Practitioners.

The practice welcomes new patients who live within the practice area (See Practice Map).

SURGERY HOURS

Burton Latimer Medical Centre:
Monday	7.30am - 7.30pm
Tuesday	7.30am - 7.00pm
Wednesday - Friday	8.00am - 6.30pm
(Doors close at 6.00pm)
Saturdays	8.00am - 10.15am (by appointment only)
Individual doctors' consulting hours vary and details may be obtained from the practice reception.
Finedon Health Centre:
Monday - Friday	8.30am - 12.30pm
Monday and Wednesday	1.30pm - 6.00pm
A doctor is not always in attendance at Finedon, but the receptionist on duty can direct your call to Burton Latimer. Afternoon Surgeries may vary - information available from Burton Latimer Surgery when Finedon Surgery is closed.

Practice News and Notices

 

We are proud to announce that the practice has been approved as a Training Practice, which means that fully qualified doctors who wish to become GPs will undergo part of their training at this practice.  The trainees are called GP Registrars and our first Registrar will be joining us in August 2011

You can now book GP appointments for a Monday evening or a Saturday morning.    There are a limited amount of appointments during these extended periods, and they are for routine problems only.   The out of hours GP service  is still operating for urgent appointments at these times for any urgent need .  Tel: 03336 664 664

You can now also book Nurse appointments for Monday and Tuesday morning from 07:30 up to 19:00 in the evening.
